Roberto Lacedelli (born June 2, 1919 in Cortina d'Ampezzo ) is a former Italian skier. He was four times Italian champion in alpine skiing and once Italian champion in ski jumping . He took part in two Alpine World Ski Championships and twice in the Winter Olympic Games .

Career

Roberto Lacedelli won his first Italian championship title in 1937 at the Italian championships in ski jumping , where he won together with Delfo Ramella Paia . A year later he won the bronze medal behind Riccardo Rodeghiero and Mario Bonomo . He repeated this result in 1940. In 1943 he won silver again at the Italian championships in ski jumping.

In alpine skiing , Roberto Lacedelli won four Italian championship titles : in 1942 he became Italian champion in downhill and alpine combination , in 1947 in slalom and 1950 in downhill. Between 1939 and 1951 he won a total of 15 medals (4 × gold, 7 × silver and 4 × bronze) at the Italian Alpine Ski Championships.

At the Alpine World Ski Championships in Engelberg in 1938 , Lacedelli was 26th in the slalom. The next year he reached twelfth place in the slalom at the 1939 World Championships in Zakopane and also place 25 in the downhill, which he was 18th in the combination. After the Second World War , he took part in the Winter Olympics twice, which at that time also counted as World Championships. At the 1948 Winter Olympics in St. Moritz , he started in the downhill and slalom, but retired prematurely in both races. At the Olympic Winter Games in Oslo in 1952 , he competed in the giant slalom and reached the 24th place.
