Johannes Moritz Wölfel

Johannes Moritz Wölfel (born June 24, 1830 in Sangerhausen ; † February 17, 1893 in Merseburg ) was a lawyer and member of the Reichstag .

Life

After graduating from high school in Leitz, Wölfel studied law at the Universities of Halle and Berlin . In 1852 he became an auscultator , in 1854 a trainee lawyer , was a trainee at the Higher Regional Court in Berlin from 1858 to 1860 and from 1861 initially in Lützen, from 1869 in Merseburg.

In 1867 he was a member of the constituent Reichstag of the North German Confederation and from 1867 to 1870 a member of the Prussian House of Representatives . From 1871 to 1884 he was elected a member of the Reichstag for the National Liberal Party for the constituency administrative district Merseburg 7 (Querfurt-Merseburg) . In the run-up to the elections of 1867, the Bismarck administration and finally also Bismarck himself officially took sides against Wölfel.
