Rock the Paint is a 2005 drama film. Douglas Smith and Kevin Phillips played the leading roles . The film had its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival , where it was shown in a 90-minute version. The US DVD version is 105 minutes long. The film was also shown at the Black International Cinema Festival in Berlin in 2005. Filming locations were Newark , New Jersey and Woodstock , New York, known from the music festival . The soundtrack comes from the famous musician Wyclef Jean .
