The Ko method

Rodrigues developed the Ko-Method , a technique used by actors in understanding the construction of different characters. The co-method is based on a scientific approach to the study for universal understanding. It focuses on the human body mechanisms and experimenting with partial movements of the body in order to establish and explore an understanding and alliance with the totality of life mechanisms.

Facial expressions for actors

The intent of this technique is to learn how to control your own reality in relation to movement, explanation, intonation, and language.

Rodrigues' book Facial Expressions for Actors provides an analysis from different perspectives and perspectives from around the world in search of something hidden that needs investigation and justification. The book explains that as the muscles of the face evolve, individuals can gain an understanding of the universe and reach a state of equilibrium , in their own interpretation of the individual.

Rodrigues found that understanding an individual's expression requires a secret knowledge, and that knowledge inspired him to look for certain points in connection with understanding human nature. Approaching art from a scientific perspective, he started with an objective idea based on the idea that important understandings that had been excluded should be included in the infinite art of representation. He found out that his research was related to science and studied anatomy , dramaturgy and various points of life. Rodrigues first experimented with his own techniques and then expanded his studies.

Paraty Studios

In 2010, with the help of Fergal Fitzgerald, Rodrigues opened Paraty Studios , art spaces located in the middle of the Atlantic rainforest in Brazil . The art rooms were inhabited by the natives of Brazil who were actively involved in the process of acting and creating the costumes and sets for his film Currupira .

Rodrigues used organic materials to create artificial characters for his film. His film Currupira was cast with the Brazilian leading actress Lisa Negri, sponsored by the Ministry of Culture in Brazil and subsequently registered in the National Library in Brazil. Rodrigues worked on the sets, costume creation, scriptwriting, and experimented and created various characters for three years. His ecological approach to creating his costumes was subsequently published several times in Brazilian media such as Veja and ISTOE.
