Roger Paul Morin (born March 7, 1941 in Lowell , † October 31, 2019 on the flight from Boston to Atlanta) was an American clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Biloxi .

Life

Roger Paul Morin was ordained a priest on April 15, 1971 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in New Orleans and titular bishop of Aulona on February 11, 2003 . The Archbishop of New Orleans, Alfred Clifton Hughes , donated him episcopal ordination on April 22 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the retired Archbishops of New Orleans, Philip Hannan and Francis Schulte . As a motto he chose Walk Humbly and Act Justy .

On March 2, 2009 he was by Benedict XVI. appointed Bishop of Biloxi and appointed to office on April 27 of the same year.

Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on December 16, 2016.

Morin died in the fall of 2019 at the age of 78 while traveling home on a flight from Boston to Atlanta after visiting family in Massachusetts.
