Rohan Ferguson (born December 6, 1997 in Bathgate ) is a Scottish football goalkeeper who is under contract with FC Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership . He is currently on loan to Linfield FC .
Career
Rohan Ferguson was one of the top fifty badminton players in Scotland when he was young. He began his football career in Airdrie with Airdrieonians FC . Until 2015, the goalkeeper played in the club's youth teams. On May 2, 2015, the 17-year-old Ferguson made his debut for the then third division against Dunfermline Athletic . In the following season 2015/16 he completed two games in the league, and one game in the 4th round of the Scottish Cup against first division club Dundee United . In the 2016/17 season he was the first goalkeeper for the Diamonds. As third in the table, the team qualified for the promotion play-offs, where they lost to Alloa Athletic in extra time . The young goalkeeper played a total of 45 competitive games this season, including in addition to the league in the League Cup , FA Cup and Challenge Cup . In August 2017, the 19-year-old Ferguson was signed by the Scottish first division club Motherwell FC . For the 2017/18 season , however, he was loaned back to Airdrie. There he played 31 other competitive games before coming back to Motherwell in the summer of 2018. In April 2019 he played his first league game for Motherwell in the game against FC Aberdeen . Ferguson was then loaned to the Northern Irish club Linfield FC . He made his debut for the club in July 2019 in the European Cup against HB Tórshavn .
