Rok Kronaveter (born December 7, 1986 in Maribor , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Slovenian national football player.

Career

Kronaveter is a player in the attacking midfield . He began his career as a youth player with NK Železničar Maribor and moved to Drava Ptuj in the 1st Slovenian league in 2005 . In 2010 he was obliged by league rival Rudar Velenje . His coach Bojan Prašnikar (formerly the coach of Energie Cottbus) recommended Kronaveter in the summer of 2010 for a move to Cottbus. There Kronaveter finally signed a three-year contract until June 2013. He scored his first goal for Energie Cottbus on matchday 7 of the second division season 2010/11 when he lost 3-2 at FSV Frankfurt. On June 26, 2012 Energie Cottbus announced the termination of the contract with Kronaveter. On June 21, 2012, he completed a trial training session in Hungary with Győri ETO FC and, after the dissolution with Cottbus, signed a contract on June 26 with the club from the Nemzeti Bajnokság . With his new club, he won his first title in the 2013 championship .

In September 2014, Kronaveter's contract in Győr was terminated. He was without a club for half a year before the Romanian first division team Petrolul Ploieşti took him under contract. In summer 2015 he returned to NK Olimpija Ljubljana in his home country. There he was the top scorer with 17 goals in the 2015/16 season .
