Roland Kramer

Roland Krämer (born June 10, 1959 in Ottweiler ) is a German lawyer and politician ( SPD ). From 2012 to 2019 he was State Secretary in the Ministry for the Environment and Consumer Protection of Saarland .

Life

Education and professional career

Krämer started school in 1966 at the Catholic elementary school in Stennweiler , completed his Abitur in 1978 at the Staatliche Realgymnasium Neunkirchen am Krebsberg and then began studying law , which he completed in 1986 with the first state examination. From 1986 to 1989 he was a research assistant at the chair for procedural law, civil law and labor law at Saarland University .

In 1989 he passed the second state examination and was appointed judge on probation in December of the same year . After he was seconded to the Saarland Ministry of Finance between October 1990 and December 1991 , he was appointed judge for life in December 1992. In this position he worked at the St. Wendel District Court and at the same time was a member of the State Examination Office for lawyers.

Political functions

Krämer, who joined the Social Democratic Party of Germany in 1976 , was a member of the Saar SPD's regional executive committee between 2002 and 2005 . Since 2002 he has been a member of the SPD district committee in Neunkirchen and chairman of the SPD local association in Stennweiler. After serving on the Stennweiler local council from 1999 to 2004, he became a member of the Schiffweiler municipal council in 2004, where he is also the deputy chairman of the SPD parliamentary group.

On May 9, 2012, Roland Krämer was appointed State Secretary of the Saarland Ministry for the Environment and Consumer Protection in the Kramp-Karrenbauer II cabinet by Minister Anke Rehlinger . He also remained State Secretary under Rehlinger's successor, Reinhold Jost , until he was replaced by Sebastian Thul on September 18, 2019 .

Private

Roland Krämer has been married since 1985, has three children and lives in Schiffweiler - Stennweiler .
