Roland Neudert (born July 9, 1939 in Rittersgrün , Sudetenland ) is a German pop singer .

Life

Roland Neudert is a trained fine ceramics machine fitter with a master craftsman's certificate. He spent his youth in Unterlind near Sonneberg ( Thuringia ), where he received his first singing lessons and learned the violin and trumpet. From 1957 to 1960 he attended the Volksmusikschule in Sonneberg, where he received vocal training. In 1960 he was the winner of the "cheerful finale" of the GDR talent movement . In 1961 he came to the Berlin Broadcasting Studio . One of his first titles was “Don't stay in the shadows” by Ralf Petersen and Dieter Schneider . His first television appearance took place in the series "Gesucht und Found" designed by Wolfgang Brandenstein . From 1963 he was in possession of the professional card for singers. In the same year he began his service in the National People's Army of the GDR, and until spring 1965 he was a member of the Erich Weinert Ensemble there . After the death of his first wife Arite Mann, also a pop singer, he switched from seafaring romanticism to other musical areas. In 1968, Roland Neudert was successful in the GDR hit competition in Magdeburg with the "Fernfahrermelodie" by Gerhard Siebholz and Dieter Schneider. After marrying Doris Neudert, who had taken over the management of the pop singer with a very successful talent and subsequent successes were due to this management, he toured with the "Hanns-Pannasch-Band" for many years at home and abroad. His first LP "Roland Neudert - Guten Tag, Schöne Kind" was not released until 1980, although he had long been one of the most popular singers. In 1982 he received the GDR Art Prize . Popular melodies were then included on the LP "Hohe Berge - tiefe Täler", which Amiga released in 1989.

Roland Neudert had a large number of successful titles in the charts between 1965 and 1990, including “I want to be home again” and “In the evening a harmonica plays”, both by Ralf Petersen and Dieter Schneider.

In 1990 he appeared with the song This moment in the ZDF hit parade . From 1995 to 2003 he could be heard and seen together with his wife Petra Kusch-Lück in the Monday evening show Musikantenscheune produced by the ORB .

Neudert lives in Berlin-Altglienicke.
