Roland Pfaus

Roland Pfaus (born January 4, 1968 in Isny im Allgäu ) is a German actor , writer and director.

Professional life

Pfaus worked in numerous leading roles in film and television productions. He became known to a larger audience through his roles in the ARD soap operas "Verbotene Liebe" (as Tim Sander) and "Marienhof" (as Dr. Weidemann) for several years . As early as 1998 he began to write scripts; he filmed his first himself with the feature film "Lava", in which he directed, took on one of the leading roles and also produced the film together with his wife and fellow actor Dinah Pfaus-Schilffarth , who also worked on the script. After leaving “Marienhof” in 2011, Pfaus founded the film production company Lavaluna Film on the premises of the Babelsberg Studio in Potsdam and produced - again together with his wife - the documentary “Polypoly-Geld für alle!”, In which he also directed as well as composed the music. The production was released on DVD as well as a paid internet access video .

Roland Pfaus got to know Dinah Pfaus-Schilffarth while filming “Forbidden Love” and lived with her and two sons in Potsdam until his wife's death in January 2019. The couple ran the First Stage Club , a drama and musical school , in Augsburg for several years .
