Rolf Christer "Kocken" Andersson (born December 21, 1942 in Oskarshamn ) is a former Swedish football player . The striker made eight international appearances for the Swedish national team .

Career

Andersson first played at the beginning of the 1960s for the then second division side Östers IF . After 22 goals this season in the 1963 season, which made him the top scorer of his season, he moved within the second division to IFK Stockholm . Here he won the title of top scorer again under coach Sven Axbom in 1964 with 24 goals and in 1966 with 26 goals each season. In 1965 he was out for a long time due to injury. After 61 goals in three and a half years for the club, he moved in the summer of 1967 to the first division promoted Hammarby IF in the Allsvenskan . There he scored seven goals in 14 championship games by the end of the season, but the club rose to the second division at the end of the season. There he shone alongside Tom Turesson as a regular goalscorer, so that he was appointed to the national team by selection coach Orvar Bergmark in May 1968 . In the 1: 3 defeat against England , he was responsible for the consolation goal as a substitute . By the end of the season, he scored 32 goals this season in 22 league games, but it was not enough to rise again as runner-up behind IK Sirius . After seven goals in the eleven league games by the summer of 1969, he left the club and moved back to the Allsvenskan.

From then on, Andersson went hunting for goals for Jönköpings Södra IF . Here, too, he was the club's best internal goalscorer at the end of the season, but his five goals were not enough to keep the league. While he remained loyal to the club in the second division, his national team career was over and he missed participation in the 1970 World Cup finals . With the club he played several times in the following years to get promoted, in 1970, 1971, 1973 and 1975 he was crowned top scorer in each case. After six seasons, the club did not extend his contract, so he joined IF Hallby . He later returned to Jönköpings Södra IF, but could no longer build on the successes and let his career end in a lower class at Bankeryds SK .

Andersson gained his first coaching experience as a player-coach at Husqvarna IF , where he ended his active career in 1983. Later he looked after Järhaga SK , Nybro SK , Högsby IF and Byxelkrok AIK .
