Rolf Linnemann

Rolf Linnemann (born August 19, 1939 in Niedernwöhren , Schaumburg-Lippe , † March 23, 2011 in Bückeburg ) was a German cabaret artist and chansonnier .

Life

Linnemann did an apprenticeship as a locksmith in Hanover and was already active there in youth work. In 1960 he moved to Berlin. Here he worked from 1963 as a cabaret artist and cabaret writer (especially buff poems), u. a. with the “Berliner Schimpfonikern”, the “drawing pins” and with their own reading programs. He also took private acting lessons. From 1967 he was employed in the central youth work in Göttingen and from 1968 with a teaching position at the local university of applied sciences in the field of social education. This was followed by the founding of Göttingen artist pubs and theaters (“Junge Galerie”) and the Nörgelbuff , in which artists such as Otto Waalkes , Hannes Wader and Ulrich Roski performed in the following years . From 1974 he lived temporarily in Tübingen , Saarbrücken and Berlin , where he organized the Tucholsky Days . In 1988 Linnemann returned to Schaumburg and founded a touring and culture office there in 1994. He brought a total of 26 full-length programs to the stage between 1969 and 1998. After an accident, his health deteriorated and from 2002 onwards he was no longer allowed to perform on stage. On March 23, 2011 he died in Bückeburg after a long and serious illness.

Works

Linnemann released several records in the 1970s on which he sang and spoke satirical texts (special preference for Kurt Tucholsky ). In 1983 an autobiographical volume appeared: Why is such a cabaret artist . In 1985 he also published a music book with accompanying chords for songs from the 1920s .
