Rolf Pasdzierny

Rolf Pasdzierny (* 1944 in Fischelbach ) was a theater dramaturge at the Göttingen Young Theater and the Hildesheim City Theater, as well as Secretary General of the Music in Youth Working Group .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1964 at the Laasphe State Higher School , Pasdzierny studied Protestant theology; from 1964 to 1966 at the Kirchliche Hochschule Wuppertal , then at the University of Göttingen . From 1968 to 1971 Pasdzierny was also a research assistant at Professor Dörries. In 1966 he became a member of the Göttingen Wingolf , from which he left a few years later while still studying. The degree took place with the faculty examination in December 1972.

In 1971, parallel to his studies, he worked as a dramaturge at the Göttingen Young Theater. Pasdzierny worked there until the summer of 1976, most recently as personal advisor to the theater director Hans-Gunther Klein. He also began working in the field of adult education in cooperation with the Göttingen Adult Education Center .

In the summer of 1976 the engagement came to the Hildesheim City Theater , initially as a dramaturge and head of school contact work. From 1978 he worked on brainstorming as well as content and organizational planning and implementation of the children's and youth theater work in Hildesheim under the name "Tummelplatz". In January 1987, Pasdzierny was appointed chief dramaturge and at the same time head of public relations at the Hildesheim City Theater. Since 1977, with a short interruption, he has been chairman of the works council at the Hildesheim Theater and thus a member of the supervisory board of the Theater-GmbH.

This was followed by teaching assignments at the Hildesheim University of Applied Sciences and the Hildesheim / Holzminden University of Applied Sciences , department of social pedagogy as well as course activity at the institutions of the district adult education center in Hildesheim, rural adult education in Lower Saxony , the international working group Sonnenberg , the Lower Saxony state institute for teacher training.

In 1991 Pasdzierny changed to the working group Music in the Youth in Wolfenbüttel as Secretary General . Here he was responsible for the planning and implementation of courses for children, young people, families and multipliers, as well as the international choir festivals Eurotreff Wolfenbüttel , International Youth Chamber Choir Meeting Usedom . At the beginning of the 1990s, together with the AMJ President Leonore Auerbach , he prevented the abolition of the International Children's Choir Festival Halle (Saale) . He also helped set up the German-Polish Youth Office. At Pasdzierny's initiative, the project “Composers write for children and youth choirs” was carried out at the AMJ from 1995–2005.

From 1991 to 2003 Pasdzierny was also the managing director of the Working Group of German Choir Associations (ADC). During this time he was also a member of the board of directors of the Bundesvereinigung Kulturelle Kinder- und Jugendbildung eV (BKJ) and for three years a member of the “Music for Children” commission in the Federal President's Office. In 2000 Pasdzierny was awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany for his commitment in the field of international musical youth exchange.

He has been retired since 2003 and is involved as a lecturer and speaker in the further training of volunteers in the Braunschweigische Landeskirche. In 2007 he was appointed to the Theological Chamber of the Braunschweig Regional Church.
