Rolf Pinegger
Rolf Pinegger (born March 25, 1873 in Schwifting ; † October 18, 1957 in Munich ) was a German actor .
Life
The trained carpenter received his first role at the municipal theater in Budweis when he was 19 . After appearances at various German provincial theaters , he came to the Volkstheater Munich in 1907, to which he belonged until his death. Pinegger became a popular Bavarian folk actor who also worked as a director and was temporarily deputy theater director.
As a film actor, Pinegger was often used in productions with an alpine background, especially in Peter Ostermayr's Ganghofer adaptations . He played in supporting roles forester , mayor and other village personalities. After the end of the Second World War , Pinegger appeared only rarely and was limited to a few appearances as a speaker at the Munich puppet theater (Die Mondlaterne, Kalif Storch). The original tapes are in the archive of the puppeteer Albert Maly-Motta. In the film he was last seen as old Brentlinger in Das Schweigen im Walde (1955).
A street in Munich bears his name. He is buried in the Munich forest cemetery.

Rolf Pinegger is not identical to the child actor of the same name, Rolf Pinegger, who was born in 1949 . This is his grandson, who came to film through his grandfather and who worked in various films from 1954 to 1959, for example in 1957 as Heinz Rühmann's nephew in Vater sein sein and in 1959 as a refugee child Hannes in Heimat - Deine Songs with Sabine Bethmann and Rudolf Lenz .
