Rolf Sons

Rolf Sons (* 1961 ) is a German theologian , pastor of the Württemberg regional church and author of several non-fiction books .

Life

Sons studied theology at the universities of Tübingen and Erlangen . After the vicariate in Balingen , he was a student assistant in the Albrecht Bengel House from 1991 to 1994. In 1994 he received his doctorate in Erlangen in the field of practical theology with Manfred Seitz with his work on pastoral care between the Bible and psychotherapy . Then he worked as a parish priest in Walddorfhäslach until 2004 . From 2004 he was lecturer in practical theology at the Albrecht Bengel House and its rector from 2009 to 2016. Since September 2016 he has been pastor of the parish of Flein and from 2017 to 2020 chairman of the BibelStudienKolleg eV in Ostfildern.

He was a lecturer at the Theological Seminary of the Liebenzeller Mission and still lectures at the Adelshofen Theological Seminary and the Biblical College . He is a lecturer at the Academy for Psychotherapy and counseling and at events of the Summer Academy Herrenberg in church Bible evenings, the Pastoral Impulstag the ISBB and the orientation days of living community operates.

His main focus, both in lectures and in his publications, is Martin Luther's pastoral practice .

Private

Rolf Sons is married to Gabi. The couple have five children.
