Heinz-Werner Neudorfer

Heinz-Werner Neudorfer (* 1952 in Wattenscheid ) is a German theologian , pastor of the Württemberg regional church and was dean in Marbach am Neckar from 2005 to 2018 .

After graduating from high school, Neudorfer came to Stuttgart in 1972 to study the ancient languages ​​of Greek and Hebrew . He then studied Protestant theology in Tübingen and Erlangen from 1973 to 1977 and worked for a year on the Tübingen Atlas of the Middle East of the German Research Foundation . In 1983 he received his doctorate at the Institutum Judaicum in Tübingen with a thesis on The Stephanuskreis in the history of research since FC Baur . After the vicariate in Onstmettingen , he worked for three years as a study assistant in the Albrecht Bengel House in Tübingen, where he was later from 1989 to 1997 study director for the New Testament . In 1982/1983 he worked as a parish administrator in Neuenbürg an der Enz and then got his first pastor's position in Wittlensweiler and Aach near Freudenstadt. From 1997 to 2005 he held the pastoral position in Weil im Schönbuch near Böblingen. He then became the parish pastor of the Marbach Mitte parish and was dean of the Marbach am Neckar parish with its 20 parishes between Ludwigsburg and Heilbronn from 2005 until his retirement in 2018 . He was jointly responsible for the Evangelical Conference Center Löwenstein (ETL), a church meeting, retreat and training facility and the house of the children's church in Beilstein, a training center for voluntary child worship work in parishes of the Evangelical Church in Württemberg .

Since his dissertation he has published theological literature and commentaries on the Bible as an author. Neudorfer has been a member of the Württemberg Evangelical Regional Synod since 2001 and is a member of its theological committee, the liturgical commission and the committee for the compensation stick. From 1997 to 2014 he was on the board of directors of the AfeT , until today a member of the “Technical Working Group New Testament” (FAGNT) and wrote reviews there as co-editor of the Yearbook for Evangelical Theology (JETh).

Heinz-Werner Neudorfer is married to Renate. The couple have four sons.
