Rolf Uwe Fülbier

Rolf Uwe Fülbier (* 1967 in Brühl ) is a German economist , tax advisor and professor for business administration (BWL). He holds the chair for Business Administration X - International Accounting at the Faculty of Law and Economics (RW) at the University of Bayreuth .

Life

From 1986 to 1988, Rolf Uwe Fülbier trained as a bank clerk at Deutsche Bank AG in Cologne .

From 1988 to 1993 he studied business administration at the University of Cologne .

Rolf Uwe Fülbier was a doctoral candidate from 1994 to 1998 and received his doctorate in May 1998 with Bernhard Pellens at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster . His dissertation was entitled "Regulation of Ad Hoc Publicity. A Contribution to the Economic Analysis of Law" .

He served as a habilitation candidate from 1999 to 2004 and completed his habilitation in June 2005 with Bernhard Pellens at the Ruhr University in Bochum . The title of his habilitation thesis was "Group taxation according to IFRS. IFRS consolidation rules as the starting point for a consolidated tax assessment in the EU?" .

Rolf Uwe Fülbier passed the tax advisor exam in 2002 and was appointed tax advisor in 2005.

From 2005 to 2008 he was professor for external accounting at WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management in Vallendar (university professor in private service).

Rolf Uwe Fülbier has held the chair for Business Administration X - International Accounting at the University of Bayreuth (W 3, full professor) since 2008.

Research priorities

Rolf Uwe Fülbier's research focuses on IFRS and US-GAAP in conception and application, accounting research from a theoretical and historical perspective, economic analyzes of law ( capital market law , corporate law and tax law ) as well as accounting for small and medium-sized companies and family businesses .

  • 2006: WHU-Best Teaching Award Spring Term and Fall Term
  • 2010: Gold medal of the TU Sofia for the contribution to the development of the FDIBA faculty
  • 2011: Award for the best teaching at the Faculty of Law and Economics at the University of Bayreuth
