Roman Haubner (born April 22, 1983 in Vienna ) is an Austrian actor .

Life

Haubner started his acting ambitions at the age of 17 when he was first cast for a television series on ORF . At the age of 19 he completed his school career with the Austrian Matura and applied to the Max Reinhardt Seminar , but failed the entrance exam. Then he moved to Germany and began, among other things, with day roles in the series Mein Leben und Ich .

In 2004 he got his first supporting role in the daily series Unter Uns . After a six-month guest appearance, he gained first notoriety in 2005 with his first leading role in the television series Lindenstrasse . Under the direction of Susanne Zanke he played the role of Fabian in over 38 episodes at the side of Heinz Marecek . This was followed by a supporting role in the film blood ties and guest appearances in the Cologne television series Die Anrheiner and Lena - love of my life .

After a few appearances in daily series, Haubner initially struggled to be cast for more demanding roles. He has taken on the leading roles in numerous short films such as for the Art Academy for Media Cologne , Macromedia and the Ansbach University of Applied Sciences .

In 2013 he got a supporting role in the television film Nothing Like Before , where he played alongside Thomas Sarbacher , Annette Frier and Jonas Nay . Oliver Dommenget took over the direction of this film, which was nominated for the German television award.

Roman Haubner can be seen in the German new edition of X-Factor: The Unbelievable in 2019 . In the summer of 2019, he also got a role in the television film Im Schatten das Licht , directed by award-winning director Vivian Naefe . At the end of 2019 he was in front of the camera with an episode role in the ZDF series Heldt at the side of Janine Kunze and Timo Dierkes .

Roman Haubner has lived in Cologne since 2004 and in Berlin since 2018 .
