action
The children's book author Caroline Page lives with her relatives Paul and George, who took her in more than fifteen years ago after the accidental death of their parents, on the family estate. When Caroline rushes to the aid of young William on a riding excursion, the young woman has no idea that it is the son of her great love Leo Walton. After the death of his wife Susan, Leo and his son spend their holidays in their native Cornwall, where he lives with his sister Pamela. Pamela would like to see her brother leave William with her and her husband. She herself lost her son as a result of a ruptured appendix and is complicit in the death of her child.
Caroline meets Leo again at a book presentation combined with a summer party. It's been almost ten years since she didn't see him because he moved to America because of his career. Both quickly notice that their long-suppressed feelings for one another have not died down. Caroline is having a hard time regaining confidence in Leo, who had left without a word to clarify.
In addition, Leo's sister Pamela is anything but pleased with her brother's relationship with Caroline, as she sees her plans for William endangered. She therefore tries with all means to torpedo a connection between the two and does not shrink from spreading stories of lies. When a serious problem arises in Leo's hotel chain in Seattle and he has to head back, she uses it for her own purposes. Caroline believes that Leo has left her a second time without a word and reacts accordingly. William informs his father, who comes back immediately and assures Caroline of his love. Shortly thereafter, he presented his small family to their new home, "Carrington Castle", the castle he and Caroline had dreamed of as children.

criticism
"Unrealistic Pilcher material that supposedly wants to serve great emotions."
“After all, there are suggestions for the garden design for the next season in the backdrops. [...] With the eyes of reason: unbearable! "
