Rosemarie Blattl (born January 27, 1941 in Klagenfurt ) is an Austrian hotelier and former politician ( FPÖ ). Blattl was a member of the Salzburg state parliament from 1994 to 2015 .

education and profession

Blattl attended elementary school in Sankt Georgen am Längsee from 1947 to 1951 and the secondary school in Treibach-Althofen from 1951 to 1955 . She then switched to the household school in Sankt Veit an der Glan and then completed an apprenticeship as a hotel and restaurant assistant in Bad Gastein until 1959 , where she attended the hospitality school in Salzburg .

After years of practical experience at home and abroad, Blattl was chief stewardess in South Africa between 1966 and 1971 . She has been working as a hotelier in Maria Alm since 1971, where she runs a hotel in the Hintermoos district. In 2000 she was awarded the professional title of commercial councilor . In 2005 Blattl hit the headlines after the labor inspectorate found an illegal worker in her hotel kitchen. Blattl had defended herself by saying that the woman was only visiting relatives. However, Blattl did not appeal the fine.

politics

Blattl had been the local party leader of the FPÖ Maria Alm since 1989 and was elected district chairwoman of the FPÖ in Pinzgau in 1998 as well as a member of the state party executive and state finance officer of the FPÖ Salzburg. From 1991 to 2000, Blattl also held the position of deputy regional chairwoman of the Ring Freiheitlicher Wirtschaftsteadender Salzburg and was a member of Maria Alm's municipal council between 1989 and 1999.

Blattl worked as a member of the Salzburg Chamber of Commerce in the Tourism and Leisure Industry section between 1990 and 2000 . She was a member of the state parliament from 1994 and was elected deputy chairman of the club in 2004. According to her own statements, her work focuses on the areas of the handicapped, budget, finances, family, women and equal treatment, youth welfare, senior citizens, social affairs, tourism and business.

In June 2015 she was expelled from the FPÖ together with eight other functionaries and resigned from her state parliament mandate. Markus Steiner succeeded her in the state parliament .
