Rosemarie Still
Rosemarie Still (* 1942 in Karlsruhe ) is a German literary translator .
Life
Rosemarie Still completed an apprenticeship as a bookseller and then worked for eight years at Hanser Verlag in Munich . From 1971 to 1985 she lived in Amsterdam ; it has been based in Berlin since 1985 . She is a member of the New Society for Literature (NGL) and worked for them from 1985 to 1987 as head of the office.
Rosemarie Still has emerged as a translator of narrative prose , poetry and plays from Dutch . In 1984 she received the Dutch Martinus Nijhoff Prijs for her translations of texts by the artist Lucebert and the author Willem Frederik Hermans .
