The Rosenstein Gymnasium is the only gymnasium in Heubach and was named after the nearby Rosenstein mountain . About 69 teachers teach about 650 students there.

The school participates in the Comenius project and cooperates with schools in Avignon ( France ) and Ptuj ( Slovenia ). The school works partly with the Schwäbisch Gmünd University of Education , where students can carry out scientific experiments, complete internships and acquire certificates.

The catchment area of ​​the school includes the city of Heubach with its districts Lautern and Buch , the municipalities of the administrative community Rosenstein ( Böbingen , Mögglingen , Heuchlingen , Bartholomä ), the Essingen district of Lauterburg and the nearby Heubach district of Bargau of the city of Schwäbisch Gmünd .

Some students from Rosenstein-Gymnasium take part in the youth writes project of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung . The school is one of the most successful participating schools. The supervising teacher of this working group was awarded the German Teacher Prize.

School club

The SaRose school association ( school association at Rosenstein-Gymnasium ) organizes numerous events. In 2009 the school association organized the local fiction writing competition , in which pupils from all secondary schools in the Ostalb district could take part. Some short stories have been collected as a book.
