Rosillas (more precisely: Rosillas Centro ) is a town in the Tarija Department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

Rosillas is one of six localities in the canton of Rosillas in the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Padcaya in the province of Aniceto Arce . The village is located at an altitude of 2089  m on a right tributary of the Río Orosas , which flows to the border river Río Bermejo .

Rosillas is located in southern Bolivia on the eastern slopes of the eastern Andes mountain range in the transition to the Bolivian lowlands.

The mean mean temperature of the region is 13.5 ° C (see Padcaya climate diagram), the monthly mean temperatures fluctuate between 9 ° C in June and July and 17 ° C in December and January. Rosillas is 57 kilometers by road south of Tarija , the capital of the department.

From the Tarija, the paved road Ruta 1 leads southeast towards the cities of Padcaya and Bermejo . In Padcaya, the 165 km long Route 28 branches off from Route 1, which leads via Abra de San Miguel and Camacho to the border town of Villazón . Eight kilometers southwest of Padcaya, a dirt road branches off from Ruta 28 to the south and reaches Rosillas after a further three kilometers.
