The Rothenbach is an orographically left tributary of the Werre in the Lippe district in East Westphalia-Lippe .
geography
The stream rises south of the Lagens district of Müssen near Hellenburg and flows from its source in a northeastern direction and flows into the Werre after 3.9 km at Werre km 47.9. A few hundred meters further east is the mouth of the Rethlager Bach in the Werre. The entire length of the stream runs through meadows used for agriculture and livestock farming .

The lower course of the Rothenbach is assigned to water quality class II (moderately polluted). The upper and middle reaches have not yet been recorded.
