Rouven Costanza

Rouven Costanza (* 1975 in Troisdorf ) is a German actor and theater director .

Life

Rouven Costanza studied acting at the Bavarian Theater Academy in Munich . As an actor, he worked at the Munich theaters Bavarian National Theater and the Prince Regent Theater and in Ingolstadt at the City Theater Ingolstadt . He worked as assistant director at the Deutsches Theater (DT) in Göttingen , where he assisted Wolfram Apprich , Ricarda Beilharz , Joachim von Burchard, Tilman Gersch , Jens Schmidl and Mark Zurmühle, among others .

Costanza has been working as a freelance director since 2003. He staged plays and realized theater projects for the Music Biennale in Venice , at the Deutsches Theater Berlin , at Kampnagel in Hamburg , at the Steirischer Herbst in Graz , at the Theater Oberhausen , at the Deutsches Theater in Göttingen, at the Societaetstheater in Dresden , at the Pathos Transport Theater in Munich and for the festival for new drama in Munich.

In 2008 Costanza was invited as a director to the International Forum of the Theatertreffen in Berlin , which is regularly held as part of the Berlin Festival . According to the selection jury, Costanza's "most important productions " included Falk Richter's A Brief Disturbance and Significantly Fewer Dead for the 5th Festival for New Drama at the Halle7 Theater in Munich, Lukas Bärfuss ' The Bus (The Stuff of a Saint) at the Deutsches Theater in Göttingen and Heiner Müller's image description in the i-camp / new theater in munich . In 2009 he received a grant from the European Network of Performing Arts .

Costanza founded a free theater without its own venue in Göttingen , the rocostprodukt - theater productions , with which he goes on tour in southern Lower Saxony and shows his own theater productions at different venues and venues. At the beginning of 2014 he began rehearsing for Die Rebellion / Hotel Savoy based on Joseph Roth ; the premiere was announced for spring 2014 at the Goethe-Institut Göttingen .

Rouven Costanza lives in Pullach near Munich.
