Roy Chipolina (born January 20, 1983 in Gibraltar ) is a Gibraltar football and futsal player .

Career

In the club

Chipolina started his senior career in 2000 with Lynx FC, followed by a move to league rivals Lincoln AGB FC in summer 2006 . With the club he won the Gibraltar championship ten times in a row until 2016.

International

Chipolina completed his first official UEFA -Länderspiel for the Gibraltar national football team on November 19, 2013 at 0: 0 in the Portuguese Faro against Slovakia . He has played for Gibraltar internationally since 2001 and participated in his first Island Games in July 2001 at the age of 17 . This was followed by further participation in the Island Games between 2003 and 2013. At the 2007 tournament he led the Gibraltar selection after winning the final against Rhodes to a gold medal in the football competition. On March 1, 2014, he scored the first official goal of his national team in the game against the Faroe Islands .
