Rubén Héctor di Monte
Rubén Héctor di Monte (born April 12, 1932 in Luján ; † April 18, 2016 ) was Archbishop of Mercedes-Luján .
Life
Rubén Héctor di Monte was ordained a priest on December 5, 1954 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Avellaneda and titular bishop of Iomnium on June 13, 1980 . The Bishop of Avellaneda, Antonio Quarracino , ordained him episcopal on August 16 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Luis Juan Tomé , Bishop of Mercedes , and Luis Eduardo Henríquez Jiménez , Archbishop of Valencia en Venezuela .
He was named Bishop of Avellaneda on March 24, 1986, and was instituted on May 1 of the same year. On March 7, 2000 he was appointed Archbishop of Mercedes-Luján and on April 26 of the same year he was appointed to the office.
On May 15, 2007, Pope Benedict XVI. his resignation request submitted for reasons of age.
