Rudolf Böhm (politician)

Rudolf Böhm (born January 15, 1913 in Budigsdorf , Bohemia ; † January 16, 1995 in Stuttgart ) was a German lawyer and politician ( GB / BHE ).

Life

After attending elementary school and secondary school, Böhm began studying law and political science at the Karl Ferdinand University in Prague in 1932 , which he completed in 1937 with a doctorate. He then worked for a lawyer in Prague . In 1937/38 he worked in the Bohemian administrative service.

After the annexation of the Sudetenland by the German Reich , Böhm became a member of the NSDAP on December 1, 1938 ( membership number 6.433.905). From 1939 Böhm completed a legal clerkship in Stuttgart . In 1940 he passed the second state examination in law in Berlin . From 1940 to 1945 he did military service and took part in the Second World War as a soldier .

After the end of the war, Böhm was initially in Czechoslovak detention. He was released in 1946 and expelled from Czechoslovakia . He then moved to West Germany as a displaced person and settled in the Oberlahnkreis .

Böhm was involved in organizations for displaced persons and was a member of the GB / BHE . Even before it was founded, he had run unsuccessfully in the 1949 federal election in the constituency of Obertaunuskreis . From December 1, 1950 to November 30, 1954 he was a member of the Hessian state parliament . The Landtag elected him a member of the second Federal Assembly , which in 1954 re-elected Theodor Heuss as Federal President.
