Rudolf Dellsperger

Rudolf Dellsperger (born September 30, 1943 in Bern ) is a Swiss theologian and professor emeritus for modern church history , denominational studies and the history of theology at the University of Bern .

Life

Dellsperger studied theology in Bern and Heidelberg ; In 1969 he became assistant and in 1974 senior assistant lecturer at the Protestant theological faculty of the University of Bern. In 1977/78 he received a research grant from the Swiss National Science Foundation . In 1973 he received his doctorate and in 1981 he received his habilitation. In 1980 he received the Theodor Kocher Prize from the University of Bern. From 1980 to 1984 Dellsperger was pastor in Burgdorf . From 1986 to 2007 he was a full professor at the University of Bern, and from 1988 to 1990 Dean . He was also a deputy professor at the Faculty of Philosophy and History at the University of Freiburg and at the Theological Faculty of the University of Lucerne .

Dellsperger writes articles for the Historical Lexicon of Switzerland .
