Rudolf Freundlich

Rudolf Freundlich (born February 9, 1911 in Vienna , † June 21, 1988 in Graz ) was an Austrian philosopher.

Life

He attended grammar school in Hollabrunn and studied philosophy, mathematics and physics at the University of Vienna . there he received his doctorate in 1936 , but did not find a job at the university and became a civil servant in the Federal Chancellery. In 1945 he became an assistant at the University of Graz , where he also received his habilitation in 1948. In 1960 he became associate professor at the TH Hannover , and in 1961 he was appointed full professor there. In 1966 he became a full professor at the University of Graz.
