Rudolf Harzer
Rudolf Harzer (born August 25, 1899 in Oelsnitz / Vogtl. , † December 19, 1959 in Dresden ) was a German lawyer and president of the Evangelical Lutheran Church Office of Saxony .
Life
Harzer attended the humanistic royal high school in Dresden-Neustadt . From 1917 to 1918 he was a soldier at the front. He studied law at the University of Leipzig and the Philipps University of Marburg . During his studies he became a member of the Suevia Leipzig fraternity in 1919 and of the Sigambria Marburg fraternity in 1921 . In 1924 he graduated as Dr. jur. In 1933 he became a member of the German Christians , but from 1935 worked together with representatives of the Confessing Church . From 1957 to 1959 he was President of the Evangelical Lutheran Church Office of Saxony . He died in 1959 and was buried in the Trinity cemetery.
