Life

The son of the banker Franz Iglisch and his wife Mathilde, b. Hahn, graduated from the Reformrealgymnasium in Berlin-Zehlendorf in 1921 and then studied mathematics, physics, chemistry and philosophy at the University of Berlin . The mathematician Richard von Mises was one of his teachers . Was Iglisch 1928 in Berlin with Adolf Hammerstein with the work Real solution fields of elliptic differential equation .DELTA.u = F (u) and nonlinear integral equations for Dr. phil. PhD.

He passed his state examination in mathematics in 1929 before completing his habilitation at RWTH Aachen University in 1931 . There he worked until 1937 as a private lecturer and assistant at the chair of mathematics. Iglisch joined the SA in November 1933. From 1935 to 1936 he was also a substitute professor at Kiel University . From 1937 to 1938 he was associate professor of mathematics in Aachen before he succeeded the mathematician Kurt Friedrichs , who emigrated in 1937, at the Technical University of Braunschweig as a full professor .
