Rudolf Maus (officer)

Alfons Rudolf mouse (* 18th April 1958 in Trier ) is a Brigadier General of the Air Force of the Armed Forces and since Jan. 5, 2015 Director of Logistics Operations in the NATO Support and Procurement Agency , in Capellen / Luxembourg.

Military career

Training and first uses

In 1978, after graduating from high school, Maus joined the Bundeswehr as an officer candidate with the 3rd Air Force Training Regiment in Roth . After completing basic training, he was transferred to the officers' school of the Air Force in Fürstenfeldbruck . In autumn 1979 Maus began studying aerospace engineering at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich and graduated in 1983 with a degree in engineering . After completing his studies, he was transferred to Fighter Bomber Wing 33 in Büchel . There he served until 1991 as a technical officer and as an operations officer.

General staff training and service as a staff officer

From 1991 to 1993 Maus completed the general staff course at the command academy of the Bundeswehr in Hamburg . After this course he was deployed as head of staff department A1 (personnel) at the command of the 2nd Air Force Division in Birkenfeld . In 1995 he moved to the Air Force Command Staff (FüL I) at the Federal Ministry of Defense in Bonn . Subsequently, in 1997 he was given a troop command as the commander of the technical group of Fighter Bomber Wing 33. In 1999 he was again transferred to the Bonn Hardthöhe to the command staff of the Air Force, where until 2001 he was a consultant for the principles of air force armament / research & technology / studies (FüL II). After this assignment he made his way to Cologne-Wahn , where Maus was head of staff department A3 (deployment, exercise, planning and organization) of the Air Force Office until 2003 . In 2004 he was then Assistant Chief of Staff Logistics (ACOS A4), i.e. Head of Staff Department A4 (Logistics) at the NATO headquarters of the Allied Air Forces North Europe in Ramstein . In 2005 he was a course participant at the Royal College of Defense Studies (RCDS) in London / United Kingdom . He then received another troop command in 2006 and became regimental commander of the 46th logistics regiment in Diez in Rhineland-Palatinate . In 2009, Maus was again transferred to the Federal Ministry of Defense in Bonn, this time to the Armed Forces Command as Head of the Armed Forces Organization.

General uses

In 2010 he was transferred to the Armed Forces Support Command in Cologne-Wahn as Head of the Logistics Department. Associated with this post was his appointment as Brigadier General on October 1, 2010. On January 1, 2013, he succeeded Brigadier General Hermann Muntz as General Air Force Armament and Deputy Commander of the Air Force's Weapon System Command , also in Cologne-Wahn. On April 16, 2013, he was given the command of the Air Force's weapons system command until its dissolution in June 2013, after the commander, Major General Günter May , retired. With effect from June 30, 2013, the Luftwaffe's weapons system command was dissolved as part of the restructuring of the Bundeswehr. On July 1, 2013, Maus was appointed Deputy Commander and Commander of Logistics Associations in the Air Force Support Units Command.

On January 5, 2015, Maus became Director of Logistics Operations in the NATO Support and Procurement Agency, in Capellen / Luxembourg.

Private

Maus is married and has two children.
