Rudolf Pfaffinger

Rudolf Pfaffinger (born October 18, 1859 in Mattighofen , † December 1, 1905 in Vienna ) was an Austrian lawyer , mining specialist and politician .

Life

Rudolf Pfaffinger was born as the son of the land registry keeper Michael Pfaffinger and his wife Katharina, b. Wetz, born in Mattighofen. After attending the Stiftsgymnasium in Kremsmünster, he studied law at the University of Vienna and later Montanistik at the Bergakademie in Leoben . During his studies in 1885 he became a member of the Germania Leoben fraternity . After completing his studies, he went into the mining authority service and worked for the mining authorities in Teplitz , Olmütz and St. Pölten as well as for the mining authority in Vienna . He became mining commissioner and later chief mining commissioner. He joined the Mining and Metallurgy Association and became secretary of the Association of Mining , Iron and Machine Industries and the Central Association of Mine Owners in Austria . In Vienna he was awarded a Dr. iur. PhD . He became court and judge advocate in Vienna. From 1902 to 1905 he was a member of the House of Representatives of the Reichsrat for the German Progressive Party as a representative of the Leoben Chamber of Commerce and Industry . Rudolf Pfaffinger was the older brother of the painter Michaela Pfaffinger .
