Rudolf Stertenbrink
Rudolf Stertenbrink OP (born May 26, 1937 in Bad Kreuznach ; † November 8, 2017 in Reinbek ) was a German Dominican , author and Cologne cathedral preacher. He entered the Dominican order in 1959 and studied philosophy and theology at the order's own university in Walberberg . He was ordained a priest in 1964.
Rudolf Stertenbrink was cathedral preacher at Cologne Cathedral from 1984 to 1990 and Dominican prior of St. Andreas in Cologne. Most recently he lived in the Dominican monastery of St. Johannis (Hamburg) .
Stertenbrink wrote over 25 books and was considered a connoisseur of Saint Therese von Lisieux and Edith Stein . He was known for his preaching and lecturing activities.
