Rudolf Wissell (politician, 1902)

Rudolf-Ludolf Wissell (born May 18, 1902 in Lübeck , † July 21, 1985 in Ratzeburg ) was a German SPD politician.

Life

Wissell was the son of Reich Minister Rudolf Wissell (1869–1962). He worked as a designer and power plant engineer at Bewag since 1927 . After the war , he became the technical director of Bewag in 1946. There he was responsible for rebuilding the energy supply in Berlin . He was also involved in the work with the new West Power Plant .

In 1955 Rudolf Wissell was awarded an honorary doctorate from the Technical University of Berlin , and in 1962 he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit.

politics

Wissell had been a member of the Social Democratic Party of Germany since 1920 and also a trade union official. As early as 1946 he was elected to the Berlin city council, with the division of Berlin he remained a member of the Berlin House of Representatives until 1958 .
