Rudolf Zöbeley
Rudolf Zöbeley (born January 15, 1901 in Rheinau , † May 27, 1991 in Munich ) was a German Protestant pastor and hymn composer .
Life
Zöbeley first studied music (among others with Hermann Meinhard Poppen and Wolfgang Fortner ) and later, after the impressions of the war, Protestant theology . Zöbeley worked as a pastor in Baiertal and later in Eppingen and from 1958 was a religion teacher in Mannheim .
Zöbeley is the father of the composer , choir director and church musician Hans Rudolf Zöbeley .

He gained importance, among other things, through the melody he set to Jochen Kleppers (1903-1942) poem He wakes me all morning from 1938, which among other things in the Evangelical Hymnbook (EG 452) and in the hymnal Fieren & Loben (FL 454) has been printed and has enjoyed an unbroken reception to this day.
Further melodies were published in the journal Evangelical Church Music in Baden .
