Rudolph von Cranach

Rudolph von Cranach (born December 22, 1823 at the Craatzen manor near Pyritz , Pomerania ; † August 1, 1879 in Soldin , Pomerania) was a German administrative lawyer and politician . Before and after the founding of the German Empire , he was a member of the Reichstag .

His parents were Christian Heinrich Wilhelm Lucas von Cranach (* October 24, 1789 - October 6, 1834) and his wife Clara von Sander (* April 8, 1797).

Live and act

Rudolph von Cranach attended high school in Stargard and then studied law at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . In 1842 he became active in the Corps Saxo-Borussia Heidelberg . When he was inactive , he moved to the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Berlin .

He later became district administrator in the district of Soldin . He was a member of the Brandenburg Provincial Parliament . In 1871 he was a member of the deputation of the members of the Reichstag of the North German Confederation at the imperial proclamation in Versailles .

From 1870 to 1873 Cranach was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives for the constituency Frankfurt 2 (Landsberg-Soldin). He belonged to the Reichstag (North German Confederation) from 1867 to 1870 and to the Reichstag (German Empire) from 1871 to 1874 and 1878 to 1879 . He was sent there by the constituency Frankfurt 2 (Landsberg-Soldin). In the Reichstag he belonged to the faction of the Conservative Party .

He married Mathilde von Gundlach on August 12, 1864 (born February 29, 1840).
