The seventh Rugby League World Cup took place in 1975 without a fixed venue. After the group stage ended, Australia was first and England second. Since the two games between the teams in the group stage were a draw and a win for England, a "Final Challenge Match" was arranged, which Australia won 25-0. Australia won the World Cup for the fourth time.
