Yevgeni Nikolajewitsch Rybakov ( Russian Евгений Николаевич Рыбаков , English transcription Yevgeniy Rybakov; born February 27, 1985 in Belovo , Russian SFSR , Soviet Union ) is a Russian long-distance runner .

In 2002 in Medulin and in 2003 in Edinburgh he won the junior race of the European Cross Country Championships.

In 2004 he became Russian champion in the half marathon , came 25th at the World Half Marathon Championships in New Delhi and won silver in the junior race of the European Cross Country Championships in Heringsdorf .

In 2005 he won the U23 European Athletics Championships in Erfurt over 10,000 m and came in 23rd place at the European Cross Country Championships in Tilburg .

In 2007 he was again Russian half marathon champion, finished in 46th place at the Road Running World Championships in Udine and won silver in the U23 race at the European Cross Country Championship in Toro .

The following year he came in 16th place in the Rome Marathon , was fourth in the Russian Half Marathon Championships and came in 30th at the 2008 Half Marathon World Championships in Rio de Janeiro.

In 2010 he was eliminated from the European Athletics Championships in Barcelona over 5000 m in the preliminary run and was eleventh at the European Cross Country Championships in Albufeira .

In 2011 he came in 13th place at the Vienna City Marathon and won silver over 5000 m at the Universiade in Shenzhen .

At the European Championships in Helsinki in 2012 , he won bronze over 10,000 m . Over the same distance he won bronze at the Universiade in Kazan in 2013 and came in 25th place at the World Athletics Championships in Moscow .

At the 2014 European Championships in Zurich, he was tenth over 10,000 m.

His twin brother Anatoly Rybakow is also successful as a long-distance runner.
