Rundschau Germany
Rundschau Deutschland was the name of an art exhibition organized by the Neue Wilde in Munich and Cologne in 1981 .
The exhibition was based on new developments in painting, which were mainly driven by groups of artists from Berlin, Düsseldorf, Hamburg and Munich, which were reflected in exhibitions such as Heftige Malerei (Berlin Moritzplatz), New Pictures from Germany (Mülheimer Freiheit) and Schlaglicher ( Rheinisches Landesmuseum Bonn ) for the first time to a wider audience. The Rundschau Deutschland exhibition brought together the protagonists of these new trends. The exhibition took place in the Lothringerstraße 13 factory in Munich from March 3, 1981 to April 13, 1981, as well as in the Klapperhof in Cologne .
The art critic Helmut Schneider draws in the time a critical summary of the exhibition: "[...] These images are examples of an instant painting, not intended for immediate consumption, now just date, tomorrow. But they also clarify the state of consciousness of young people. No future, no future. "
