The Rursee boat trip KG is a German shipping company , the five passenger ships in the south of Aachen in the Eifel located and by Rurtalsperre incurred Rursee and Obersee operates. In 2017 around 250,000 passengers were carried.

history

The former Rursee-Schifffahrt GmbH (Heimbach-Schwammenauel) was taken over by Waltraud Heuken in 1999. Rursee-Schifffahrt KG emerged on December 2, 2009 through conversion by way of the change of legal form in accordance with the resolution of the shareholders' meeting of October 15, 2009 .

Ships on the Obersee

The upper lake is used as drinking water - reservoir , among others, for the Aachen region and parts of the Heinsberg district . The operator of the dams, the Eifel-Rur water association and the Cologne district government , have issued conditions of use for the use of the waters. The use of the Obersee is not permitted for water sports enthusiasts due to its use as a drinking water extraction room. The shipping company only operates passenger ships with electric propulsion on the Obersee. These include the Eifel , St.Nikolaus and the shipping company's catamaran Seensucht . They run according to the schedule from April 4 to October 25, 2020 between investors:

The technical headquarters on the Obersee or the deployment or final stop of the staff and the ships is Einruhr. Minor revision and maintenance work on the ships is also carried out here.

Ships on the Rursee

Two passenger ships with conventional diesel engines, the Stella Maris and the Aachen , are in use on the approximately 7.83 square kilometers large Rursee . They run according to the schedule from April 4 to October 25, 2020 between investors:

The technical headquarters on the main lake or the deployment or terminal stop for the staff and the ships is Schwammenauel. Here, as well as at the slipway on Eiserbachdamm, minor overhaul and maintenance work is carried out on the ships.

The company continues to operate a railway , the Rursee-Bahn. During a one-hour tour between Heimbach and Schwammenauel you will learn interesting facts about the area.
