Russ Titelman
Russ Titelman (born August 16, 1944 in Los Angeles ) is an American music producer and songwriter .
Career and success
Titelman worked for Warner Bros. Records from 1977 to 1997 and with musical greats such as Nancy Sinatra , Dion DiMucci , The Monkees , George Harrison , Eric Clapton , James Taylor , Ry Cooder and Steve Winwood . In 1987, Titelman received his first Grammy Award for producing the single Higher Love by Steve Winwood. From 1989 to 1994, Titelman worked primarily with the British world star Eric Clapton and produced the successful albums Journeyman from 1989, 24 Nights from 1991, Unplugged from 1992 and From the Cradle from 1994. At the 1993 Grammy Awards , Titelman received a Grammy in the Category Album of the Year as the producer of Unplugged . On the same evening he received the award as a producer for Tears in Heaven .
In 1997 he founded his own label Walking Liberty Records in New York City .
