Lyric work

The main themes of Rutger Kopland's poetry are reflections in a melancholy - sentimental form. Abandonment and impermanence, as well as love , confidence and death always play a role. This keynote can be found, for example, in the following quotes:

"Everyone would have to be an animal, should die / be reborn in autumn and spring."

"What I described in my letters / it is not the pain itself / but my shadow, how he / bends and bends / over what was left of what may / never existed."
