Ruth Mönch began working as an actress at the Stuttgart comedy and operetta theater at the age of 19. Here she played, for example, in the operetta " Schwarzwaldmädel ".

Ruth Mönch recorded numerous records with mostly folk songs alone and with her husband Willy Seiler . Some of their titles are still played in the Südwestrundfunk's wish concerts to this day.
