The Rybi Potok is an approximately six kilometers long left tributary of the Białka in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship in Poland and Slovakia . It has the character of a high mountain river.
geography
The river has its source in the mountain lake Meerauge in the valley Dolina Rybiego Potoku in the High Tatras . Several small mountain streams flow into the lake. a. Czarnostawiański Potok from the mountain lake Czarny Staw pod Rysami . It flows through the lakes Żabie Oko , Małe Żabie Oko and Małe Morskie Oko . Shortly before it flows into the Białka, it represents the border between Poland and Slovakia. The upper part of the Oswald-Balzer-Weg panoramic road runs along the river . The course of the river is located in the Tatra National Park .
Surname
The name Rybi Potok, Fischbach or Fischseebach, comes from the numerous trout in the river.
Flora and fauna
The water of Rybi Potok is clean, rainbow trout, trout, grayling, bullhead and minnow live in the river. The river is surrounded by spruce forests.
