Saxon Environment Prize

The Saxon Environment Prize is an environmental prize of the Saxon State Ministry for Environment and Agriculture , which has been awarded since 1996. With 50,000 euros, it is the most valuable prize in the Free State of Saxony in the field of environmental protection.

The Saxon Environment Prize recognizes outstanding achievements for the protection of the environment and natural resources as well as for nature conservation every two years. Companies from industry, handicrafts, service industries as well as agriculture and forestry, organizations, associations and clubs or natural persons can apply for the Saxon Environment Prize.

The winners of the Saxon Environment Prize will be honored in a festive setting by the Saxon State Minister for Environment and Agriculture . The award ceremony took place in 2015 in the Dresden Palace Chapel of the Residenzschloss and in 2017 at Albrechtsberg Palace in Dresden .

  • Industry category: GKN Driveline Deutschland GmbH, Mosel plant (Zwickau) for the development of a technology that eliminates the need for any cooling lubricants in series production
