Sørvågen is a fishing village in the municipality of Moskenes in the region Lofoten in Norway . The village in the south of the island Moskenesøy belongs to the province ( Fylke ) Nordland and has almost 450 inhabitants.

The main sources of income in the village, which is located on European route 10 , are fishing and tourism. The place has a school center, shops for everyday needs, a post office, galleries and a restaurant. The “Norwegian Telecommunications Museum” has a permanent exhibition in Sørvågen, because the history of the village is closely linked to that of Norwegian telecommunications. A Lofoten line built in 1861 connected the place with eight other fishing villages with 170 kilometers of telephone cables. The first wireless radio telegraph in Northern Europe was built here in 1906, and it was also the second in the world. Later the first ship's radio telegraph and the first radio telephone connection were built in the Lofoten village.

From the parish of Moskenes, two kilometers away, there is a car ferry that connects the island of Moskenesøy with the mainland near the northern capital Bodø and with the islands of Værøy and Røstlandet at the southernmost end of Lofoten.
