The class 6CE is a heavy electric locomotive of the SNCFA .

history

In 1972, 32 EL 104 machines were built at LEW Hennigsdorf . The machines were intended for heavy ore and phosphate trains from the Boukhadra and Ouenza mining areas.

construction

The construction is based on the E 251 previously built for the Deutsche Reichsbahn (DR) in the mechanical part and the E05 built for the PKP in the electrical part.

Mechanical part

The driver's cabs are designed for one-man operation in a left-hand version and are provided with air heating. The engine room has two side aisles, the main aisle, in addition to providing access, is used for changing the cab. The second aisle on the opposite side with the equipment carrying the contact line voltage can only be entered when the pantographs are lowered. The bogies with box girders are welded, as are the car bodies. The suspension springs of the second and third as well as the fourth, fifth and sixth wheel set are connected with compensating levers, so that one bogie has a stable, the other unstable support. Both bogie frames are connected with a cross coupling, the locomotive body is supported at four points on the running gear. The wheel sets are equipped with solid wheels and spherical roller bearings. The locomotives are equipped with an automatically acting WABCO - air brakes , a direct-acting auxiliary brake, a spindle handbrake as a parking brake and an electrodynamic resistance brakes .

Electrical part

The locomotive has an electromotive cam switch mechanism with follow-up control, which means that the driver selects a speed step and the switch mechanism starts it up automatically. The equipment includes an electrically self-excited resistance brake and a safety driving circuit . There is a three-phase auxiliary operating system (380 V, 50 Hz) and a three-phase power supply for oil heating vehicles on passenger trains.
