The SV 1908 Ricklingen in a sports club from the Hanoverian district of Ricklingen , which is divided into five independent departments and is active in rugby , baseball , touch , table tennis and gymnastics , among others . History and description

SV 08 Ricklingen was founded in 1908 at the time of the German Empire, initially only for the rugby game. In the beginning, the members wore their practice games and competitions in the Maschwiesen on a leash . Towards the end of the Weimar Republic , the sports club was able to acquire today's own sports field.

After the time of National Socialism and the Second World War , table tennis was also offered as a sport from 1953, followed by gymnastics since 1975. In 1997, SV 08 Ricklingen and its rugby department were relegated to the regional league after being unsuccessful in court Had contested the association's decision.
